We perceive the world through the distortion of our senses and [...] we analyse it with the limited means of our intelligence. [...] Our perception of reality is only a construction of our mind.

/ The powers of the mind over the body.

INTRODUCTION

The combined use of the mind and the body, relying particularly on the sensory memory, will enable the creation of automatisms boosting the development of capacities to adapt to situations.

The mental capacities associated with body movements involve, quoting R. Jouvent's terms, "detailed perceptual work, the development of intentionality, the work of picturing and anticipating, the development of the imagination and the stimulation of creativity"; these abilities are factors that boost informed decision-making and adaptability.

This article aims to explain how these levers, which involve both the body and the mind, can be effective in acquiring these abilities to support adaptability and decision making.
