1 - The needs that this session is designed to meet.

You want to keep your composure during tense exchanges with your interlocutor when he or she provokes you in the most general sense, shows bad faith, or says things that you perceive as threats to the achievement of your objectives.

What these situations have in common is that they generate intense negative emotions (anger, stress, fear, frustration) that destabilise you and cause you to react impulsively and lose control of your attitude.

N.B. This session addresses needs relating exclusively to self- development or well-being and does not constitute any kind of therapeutic or health support.

2 - The stakes involved in the ability to keep your composure when facing a provocation.

The need to release the pressure generated by a provocation may cause you to react and make impulsive decisions that will turn out to be ineffective or even counterproductive. Keeping your cool and composure will enable you to remain clear-headed and make objective decisions.

3 - What this session brings you.

This session will help you to deal with your emotions, by taking a step back from what you are feeling or perceiving, so that you don't become overwhelmed by the destabilisation or turmoil generated by the provocation.

To do so, the exercises will help you to control the emotional intensity by reducing the negative sensation of the emotions; they will also enable you to develop your ability to use your sensory memory on demand as a resource when facing a provocation.

You will know that you have achieved the objective of this session when, for example, in a context of provocation : 
  • you feel less destabilized
  • you feel steady or grounded
  • you feel detached from, but aware of, your negative emotions

  • Due to the use of controlled breathing, including short full and empty apneas, and the introspective attention you will perform, please be aware that these sessions are contraindicated or require special adaptations and the advice of your doctor or other health professional if you suffer from respiratory, cardiovascular or psychological fragility or other health problems.
  • Consult your doctor if you are unsure, under medical supervision or pregnant before performing the exercises.
  • The exercises should not be performed while doing any other activity or in a context that requires your attention or vigilance.

The main body movements performed

  • 1 exercises is performed standing
  • 7 exercises can be performed standing or sitting as preferred.
  • One exercise can be performed seated or lying down as you wish.
  •  The exercises mainly consist of movements of the arms, wrists and hands, stomach and hip flexion.
  •  One exercise does not require any body movement.
